Fix a Video for Where It's Going
Pick a video and where it is going. You see what stops it from sending (size, length, frame or format) and fix it all in one run. Works on a phone.
Choose where to start; the end follows from the limit.
Equivalent FFmpeg command
CLI command for your current settings. Updates live as you change controls.
Choose a video and a destination How to use
- Choose a videoA phone video or a screen recording, up to 500MB.
- Choose a destinationLINE, Instagram Reels, Instagram post, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, Discord or email. What stops it from sending is listed.
- Choose the part and the fitToo long: choose the part to use. Wrong frame: choose how to fit it.
- Fix itTap "Fix it" to run every needed fix in one pass. Share the result on a phone, or download it on a computer.
When it goes wrong
Still over the destination's limit after the fix
Cause: Busy footage can come out larger than calculated. When the first result is over, the tool runs once more at a lower bitrate if it can, and says so in the result if it is still over.
Fix: Trim the video shorter, then fix it again.
Questions
What is LINE's size limit?
LINE's help does not state a video size limit. This tool uses the LINE compressor's "Balanced" values, 50MB and a 720 short side, as a guide, and shrinks a video only when it is over that.
It says the video is too long to fit
At that length, fitting the target size would leave almost nothing visible, so the tool does not run. Trim it to the part you want to send, then choose it again.
What happens when nothing needs fixing?
It says "This can be sent as it is" and the button stays off. Send the video as it is.
What happens with an iPhone HDR video?
It can be fixed, but it cannot stay HDR, so the color may look washed out. The checklist says so when you pick an HDR video.
How does fitting the frame work?
The default, "Fit it all in (black bars)", keeps the whole picture and fills the rest with black bars. "Fill the frame (crop the edges)" cuts off what does not fit, so the frame is filled with no bars.
Is my file sent to a server?
No. Everything runs inside your browser.
